MPL-2.0 permits commercial use and requires distributed modifications of covered source files to remain available under MPL. Independent files in a larger work may use other licenses, subject to the terms of any dependencies. When distributing a covered executable, including browser JavaScript, distributors must tell recipients how to obtain the corresponding covered source. An inaccessible private repository link is insufficient. See the full license for the binding terms.

Previously distributed MIT copies retain their MIT permissions. This change applies to the project’s code from the license-change revision onward.

Third-party acknowledgments

Visual Nerve uses open source libraries, including Lucide icons, React, React Flow, ELK, Dexie, Mediabunny and coder/websocket. Their original licenses and copyright notices are retained in the bundled license inventory . Lucide is licensed under ISC, with some icons derived from MIT-licensed Feather. Mediabunny is MPL-2.0; ELK retains its EPL-2.0 / GPL secondary-license terms.

The optional local neural voice engine uses Piper and ONNX Runtime. Its eSpeak-ng phonemizer runtime is GPL-3.0-or-later, with the full license and source/build references in the eSpeak notice , Piper notice and speech documentation . The adapted Piper Web source retains its upstream MIT notice. Voice models retain their separate model and training-data notices, shown in Settings. The project license does not replace these third-party terms or resolve the GPL integration’s scope; source-access and dependency compliance must be checked for each distributed build.
